Course Content
The course contains eight units, four mandatory and four
optional:
Mandatory
- HSC 31 - Promote effective
communications for and about individuals.
- HSC 32 - Promote, monitor and
maintain health, safety and security in the working
environment.
- HSC 33 - Reflect on and
develop your practise.
- HSC 35 - Promote choice, well
being and the protection of all individuals.
Optional : Choose two from the
following:
- HSC 328 - Contribute to care
planning and review.
- HSC 329 - Contribute to planning,
monitoring and reviewing the delivery of service for
individuals.
- HSC 330 - Support individuals to
access and use services and facilities.
- HSC 335 - Contribute to the
the protection of individuals from harm and abuse.
- HSC 360 - Move and position
individuals.
- HSC 361 - Prepare for, and
undertake physiological measurements.
- HSC 384 - Support individuals
through bereavement.
- HSC 385 - Support
individuals through the process of dying.
Progression Opportunities
On completion of this programme learners may be able to
progress on to progress
on to NVQ Level 4 Care
or the NVQ
Level Registered Managers Award
