Accredited National Vocational Training - Skills for Care

Inspired Training is accredited by the major UK lead bodies in Vocational Training to provide employers and individuals standardised, high-quality learning and support for achievement of the National Vocational Training programme. Designed to support a range of delivery models, including face-to-face, distance or blended learning the courses involve both employer and candidate throughout the process and are structured to provide real results in the work place by focussing on the needs of the host company and their clients.

Course Content

The course contains eight units, four mandatory and four optional:

Mandatory

  • HSC 31 - Promote effective communications for and about individuals.
  • HSC 32 - Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment.
  • HSC 33 - Reflect on and develop your practise.
  • HSC 35 - Promote choice, well being and the protection of all individuals. 

Optional : Choose two from the following:

  • HSC 328 - Contribute to care planning and review.
  • HSC 329 - Contribute to planning, monitoring and reviewing the delivery of service for individuals.
  • HSC 330 - Support individuals to access and use services and facilities.
  • HSC 335 - Contribute to the the protection of individuals from harm and abuse.
  • HSC 360 - Move and position individuals.
  • HSC 361 - Prepare for, and undertake physiological measurements.
  • HSC 384 - Support individuals through bereavement.
  • HSC 385 - Support individuals through the process of dying.

Progression Opportunities
On completion of this programme learners may be able to progress on to progress on to NVQ Level 4 Care or the NVQ Level Registered Managers Award

Duration
 The course is structured over  15 week programme that is delivered by a qualified facilitator in the workplace. Where appropriate it can be completed in a much shorter period.

Dates & Venues
You can join a scheduled course with the Inspired Training Company at a location and time that best suits your needs. Larger groups or companies may wish to host their own course at their premises or another venue at time and location more suitable to their particular needs. As an approved training provider we are able to offer many clients access to national fundiing streams to assist with or even fully meet any fees due. Funding streams are normally time limited and can be dependent on location.
