Providing Security Services - Event
Security
Level 2
This
qualification is best suited to individuals who are working in
occupations that require the provision of security services.
Typical
job roles could include Civil Enforcement, Community Warden
Schemes, Parking Control, Door Supervision, Retail Guarding and
CCTV Control Room Operators.
Course Content
To
gain the full NVQ five mandatory units plus
three optional units must be achieved.
Mandatory
Units
- Unit 1:
Minimise and respond to health and safety risks in your
workplace.
- Unit 2:
Communicate effectively in the workplace.
- Unit 3: Give
customers a positive impression of yourself and your
organisation.
- Unit 4:
Control security incidents.
- Unit 5:
Produce documents manually.
Compulsory
Units
(Unit
6 plus two only from units 7-10-13)
- Unit 6:
Maintain the security of property and premises through
observation.
- Unit 7:
Control entry to and exit from premises.
- Unit 10:
Carry out searches of vehicles for unauthorised items.
- Unit 13:
Monitor areas using CCTV systems.
Optional
Units
- Unit 8:
Carry out searches of people and their property for
unauthorised items.
- Unit 9:
Provide security at licensed venues.
- Unit 11:
Arrest people suspected of committing an offence.
- Unit 12:
Deal with disorderly and aggressive behaviour.
- Unit
14:Maintain CCTV video tape libraries and preserve potential
evidence.
- Unit
15: Maintain the operational performance of CCTV operations
