NCFE Certificate in
Moving & Handling in Social Care
Level 2

Course Outline

This programme is aimed at people who work or wish to work in a range of occupations where moving and handling may be required.  The level one programme

Course Content

The course consists of three units covering:

  • The background to manual handling
  • Safer manual handling
  • Safer moving and handling of people

Course materials will allow candidates to be assessed at level 1 and/or level 2.  The level 2 qualification will involve a practical assessment and a short multiple choice test.

Progression Opportunities

The qualification aims to provide a sound preparation for further study and access to a range of vocational programmes, including NVQs.  In addition, more geneeral routes are also appropriate, for example the NCFE Certificates in Equality and Diversity, Food Hygiene and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety.

Duration
 The course is structured over  15 week programme that is delivered by a qualified facilitator in the workplace. Where appropriate it can be completed in a much shorter period.

Dates & Venues
You can join a scheduled course with the Inspired Training Company at a location and time that best suits your needs. Larger groups or companies may wish to host their own course at their premises or another venue at time and location more suitable to their particular needs.
