Certificate
- Food Hygiene
The UK government has indicated that anyone involved in food
handling in the workplace must be trained to the basic standard
set by the main UK bodies which award hygiene qualifications. RIPH
examinations at this level are especially suitable for workers in
hotels, restaurants, hospitals, care homes, schools, food
processing and fast food businesses.
This course meets this requirement by giving
learners a basic awareness of good hygiene and safety issues. At
the end of the course candidates should understand the general
principles of hazard control and the risks that can occur.
Course Content
The course covers the following aspects of food hygiene:
- Types of food hazards
- Hazard control
- Preservation of food
- Safe food storage and
transportation
- Premises and equipment
- Personal hygiene
- Cleaning and disinfection
- Enforcement and legal

Progression
Opportunities
There are numerous progression opportunities, including NVQs in
Food Preparation and Food and Beverage Service, RIPH Intermediate
Certificate in Food Hygiene and Safety
Duration
The course is structured over 4-8 week programme that is
delivered by a qualified facilitator in the workplace. Where appropriate it can
be completed in a much shorter period.

You
can join a scheduled course with the Inspired Training Company at a location and time that best suits your
needs. Larger groups or companies may wish to host their own course at their
premises or another venue at time and location more suitable to their particular

As
