NCFE Certificate in
Provision of Activities in Care Settings
Level 2

Who is it for?

This course is designed for those responsible for coordinating and delivering activities in care settings. The course aims to increase individual workers knowledge and skills in planning, carrying out and evaluating activities, thereby enhancing the quality of care that service users’ experience. Whilst the main focus is on working with elderly people  in residential care settings, the skills developed are transferable, and equally relevant for those delivering day care and domiciliary based care.

Course content

The programme has 5 units:

  • Unit 1: The value of an activity service
  • Unit 2: Planning and developing an activity service
  • Unit 3: Delivering activities
  • Unit 4: Monitoring and evaluating and activity service
  • Unit 5: Human ageing, health and illness (optional unit)

Progression opportunities

On completion of this programme, you will be able to progress onto C and G 6977 Certificate in Providing Therapeutic Activities for Older People level 3. The completed assessments can also be used as underpinning knowledge for candidates wishing to undertake NVQs in Health and Social Care at level 2 or level 3.

Duration
The course is structured over  15 week programme that is delivered by a qualified facilitator in the workplace. Where appropriate it can be completed in a much shorter period.

Dates & Venues
You can join a scheduled course with the Inspired Training Company at a location and time that best suits your needs. Larger groups or companies may wish to host their own course at their premises or another venue at time and location more suitable to their particular needs.
