Course Outline
This qualification has been developed to provide an introduction to the retail industry. It offers a formal qualification for those already working in the retail industry who wish to improve their knowledge and understanding of the industry. The qualification also provides those seeking employment with a good foundation of knowledge and skills on which to build and develop a career in the retail sector.

Course Content
The course consists of four units covering the following areas:

  • Customer service, selling and product knowledge
  • Health, safety and security
  • Merchandising, storage and display
  • Personal effectiveness and teamwork

Progression Opportunities
Candidates can progress to a range of programmes including NVQ Retail Operations level 3, NVQ Customer Service,  Certificate in Marketing and Certificate in Customer Relations.

Duration
The course is structured over  15 week programme that is delivered by a qualified facilitator in the workplace. Where appropriate it can be completed in a much shorter period.

Dates & Venues
You can join a scheduled course with the Inspired Training Company at a location and time that best suits your needs. Larger groups or companies may wish to host their own course at their premises or another venue at time and location more suitable to their particular needs.
