Introduction
to Food Hygiene in Social Care
The aim of this food hygiene training course is to
raise understanding and achieve good standards of food safety and
hygiene. Upon completion learners will have an understanding of a
wide range of key food safety issues, including the three main
types of food safety hazard, their sources and methods of control.
Learners will know the correct temperatures needed for storage and
food handling activities from delivery through to sale, and be
aware of common food pests and how to control them, along with the
principles of cleaning and disinfection and how these apply to the
workplace.
The
content meets much of the Skills for Care knowledge set for Food
hygiene and the requirements regarding food hygiene in the common
induction standards
Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

The
course lasts approximately four hours.

can join a scheduled course with Inspired Training at a location and time that best suits your
needs. Larger groups or companies may wish to host their own
course at their premises or another venue at time and location more
suitable to their particular
